"Manager Painting"

You learn from brilliant artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Goya or Hieronymus Bosch the ability to go deep within yourself to find unique solutions-making you a more successful manager. You paint your original picture on real canvas and discover new paths to your intuition and creativity. This extremely popular workshop has been developed by Dr. Andreas Salcher together with academy scholar and painter Herwig Zens. Professor Zens, one of the foremost experts on Goya, reveals the secret of painting by discussing an original painting and assists the participants in creating their own pictures. We have also used painting quite successfully in our internal business seminars because the process of painting quickly takes the participants' perceptive abilities to a new level.

Examples of a design:

  • "How creativity in your business agenda is affected when you organize the day along the lines of rituals." Dr. Salcher demonstrates how to combine creativity and discipline in everyday life by using case studies of artists.
  • "The mysterious allure of images in the works of Francisco José de Goya and Stanley Kubrick." Prof. Herwig Zens reveals the secret of painting by means of the examples of two ingenious artists.
  • Paint your own picture with acrylics on a canvas the size of 1 by 1 meter during a two-stage process, assisted by Prof. Zens.

The 24-Hour-Seminar (c)

The Method

  • Our theory of time: Through intensive analysis of the phenomenon of time, our theoretical understanding is based on the most advanced science and goes far beyond classic time management
  • The applied metaphors: For each participant the search for the "Secret of Time" becomes, for the duration of the seminar, an adventure of self-discovery
  • The ritual level: Based on the work of the so- called "Milan School", we tie the "red thread" with each participant to help them implement the results in their daily lives

Austria´s Top Managers and Business People on the 24-Hour-Seminar:
"It is not that time passes, but us who pass away and vanish. It is vital to live in the here and now. This is one of the very many instructive perceptions of this totally fascinating seminar that teaches us how to use our time more consciously. Very rarely are the effects of a seminar as sustainable as is the case here, and it gives all the participants such an unusual experience with extra points for variety and excellent trainers." Bettina Augeneder (Training Manager McDonald's Austria)

"Without the seminar, things would have been a lot more difficult for me in the extremely strenuous time that followed. Now I manage my time myself. I try to introduce this thinking in my company, because I see a real need for it." Günter Thumser (Executive Vice President Henkel)

Business Media write about the 24-Hour-Seminar:
"Without requiring you to 'bare your soul' the seminar asks the participants this question: What do you want to do with your time? After all, one has less time than one thought and more big things in mind than one remembers in the course of daily stress." Daniela Davidovits ("Karriere Kurier")

"The motto: What you always wanted to know about time--but were afraid to ask. In the 24 hours there is plenty of room to do what we didn´t have time for, or didn´t take the time for." Bernhard Ecker ("Trend")

"The goal of the seminar is--without wearing a watch-- to rediscover a sense of time, and to become aware of what it means, in a stressed (work) routine,' to have time'." Kathrin Gulnerits ("Wirtschaftsblatt")

"A trip. A journey in time. Without a watch. Without a mobile phone. Without being informed of the time. But organized exactly and laid out thoroughly. The message: Forget what you have known about time management so far. You will reclaim something new and better."
Matthias Raftl ("Karrieren Standard")

Leaders of Tomorrow

back

Leaders of Tomorrow" enhances personal development and emotional enrichment of leadership qualities with the aim to allow you to manage yourself, your clients and your co-workers with enjoyment and success. Based on their own experiences and by means of case studies such as the Disney Company or the US Navy, the participants acquire strategies that enable them to make better use of the potential of their co-workers and to connect this potential with the vision of the company. Successful management always begins with self-management. Therefore we consider the topic work-life balance extremely important, for only well-adjusted and balanced leadership is capable of continuous top performance.

Talking to the Top

back

"Talking to the Top: How you and your company present yourselves in a convincing way to international clients and investors" is the topic of this combination of a very challenging communication seminar and personal individual coaching for the full use of your real potential. One of our main points at issue is the creation and realization of emotional presentation-scenarios for crucial top presentations. For example, we develop a script with you that begins with your potential client's arrival at the airport, then makes a favorable first impression of your company, provides as a highlight a professional presentation, and finishes with a relaxing phase afterwards until you return to the airport.

Management by Jazz

back

Three jazz musicians from three different cultures (USA, Europe, and Asia) who do not know each other meet for the first time on stage, and despite cultural differences and language barriers they are instantly able to communicate with each other. By using the principles of jazz, it is possible to overcome one of the major obstacles of global economy, the cultural differences, and to start functioning together right away. Practical case studies of our clients show what businesses can learn from these successful and simple rules. It was for this concept, first presented in 2001 at the General Meeting of the "Austrian Marketing Club", that in 2002 Dr. Salcher was among the few Europeans to be invited by the ASTD, the largest human resources conference in the world, to participate as a speaker in their annual conference in New Orleans.

The last time we created this event design was in September 2007 for the European Conference on Healthcare Engineering, which took place in the AKH (General University Hospital) and the City Hall of Vienna. From the principles of jazz we deducted insights into the fields "Common understanding in an international environment", "Innovation through improvisation", and "Changing leadership".

Management in the Dark

back

"Management in the Dark" is the unique concept which deals with the dramatic changes in essential environmental factors and their effect on personal decision-making behaviour, a process not to be studied in theoretical books or seminars but to be experienced as circumstances in real situations. Suddenly it is dark. You are blind. Together with seven other people you neither see nor know personally you are in a different world. The dark room demands the development of exceptional abilities and innovations to cope with the assigned management tasks.

Coaching

Dr. Andreas Salcher has been a consultant and coach to top managers for many years. He sees himself primarily as a sparring partner for important strategies or personal questions.

Evaluation

As long-term studies have shown, companies who invest more than the average in their employees turn out to have more ongoing economic success than the competition.

The most important goal of all investment in the area of human resources is to implement the definite business strategy, i.e.

  • to raise profits
  • to attract, develop and motivate the best employees
  • to increase productivity and enhance customer satisfaction

Since we know that education budgets are limited we believe in focused projects with clear goals,
high-quality conception and unfaltering implementation of results. The 24-Hour-Seminar(c) is a typical example of how
important evaluation is to us:

Because the 24-Hour-Seminar (c) is a completely new product, we have considered specific and repeated seminar evaluations a very important asset from the very beginning. We evaluate each seminar in writing, for the first time after one week (ca 90% response) and for the second time after four to six weeks with a feedback workshop (participant ratio ca 75%). Additionally, there are in-depth interviews with selected participants. It pays off: 89% of the former participants describe the 24 hours as an exceptional experience that they would not want to have missed.
